Grade 10

- Finalise Academic Plan
- Do homework regarding further studies, which courses are needed for admission into the preferred field of studies.
Grade 11
- Complete 6 Credits
- Plan to finish end October to start Grade 12 in same year
Grade 12
- Complete 6 Credits
- Deadline 10 November
- If studying the following year, complete all work by September/October to have enough time to apply for SAQA & USAF.

- SAQA Comparison Letter (NQF4) (in case needed)
College/University of Technology
- General / Advanced Certificate
- 5/6 Majors – (min 24 credits)
- SAQA Comparison Letter (NQF4)

University
- Advanced Certificate
- 6 Majors (min 24 credits)
- GPA requirement as per USAF requirement document.
- SAQA Comparison Letter (NQF4)
- USAF Exemption Certificate
- The NBT and/or SAT may be a requirement for institutions.
SAQA Application
- Follow the link and steps (please watch the video “How to Apply”) to register with SAQA for the Comparison Letter.
- The process can take up to 2 months.
- This is to compare the certificate to Grade 12 (SA) NQF4
Graduation Timeline
This will all depend on which route you follow after the completion of Grade 12.
- These 24 credits can be done over a period of 3-4 years (depending on the performance of the student)
- Complete Grade 11 in October
- Complete Grade 12 in Sept/Oct
