What a privilege to do this excellent program through Active Institute....5 stars from us!! We have been homeschooling for 6 years, we did ACE and Sonlight in the past and we started SwitchedOn this year. We are so impressed with the quality of this curriculum as well as the kind support from the staff of the Institute. They are always friendly, available, accessible and professional. It gives us such peace of mind to have this support structure. We are honestly so grateful that this is available in SA as a faith-based curriculum that also provides a matric pathway to university acceptance. Thank you so much. This is an excellent product.

I am so thankful for making the best decision at the beginning of 2019 to enroll my 3 children to do SwitchedOn. We are so impressed and blessed, we wish we started earlier already. We love the comprehensive Curriculum and the fact that it is Bible based! It creates a wonderful foundation for every child to build on. We started this year with great uncertainty... Did we make the right decision to homeschool? During the year however, it became clear that it was the best decision ever. My son did so well and quickly adapted to the English. He is a different child than before - happy, content and with self confidence. I would recommend it to anyone interesting in homeschooling....it keeps us on our toes with goals being set automatically and the feedback of teachers when getting stuck so now and then makes the distance learning a greater pleasure.... It took us a while to get use to the online package as I missed the first term's meeting, which must have covered this for new parents. Once I found my way around it became very easy to see what the kids have been up to and their personal progress and where they were struggling and I was able to assist them. The teacher has been very helpful and patient with us and such a great support. We are all now into a good routine and looking forward to a better start to Term 1 in the new year. I really want to just testify to the goodness of God and thank the staff at Active Online Education. Sarah’s experience with learning has not always been a very positive experience, but since she joined the online school in August 2019, I have seen her grow from strength to strength. Her eyes were barely open this morning and she was already reading, something that I for a season prayed for daily as she would dislike having to read even a page. I LOVE ONLINE SCHOOLING! It is just so much fun to be at home all the time and getting to finish early some days. We don't have to ask to go to the bathroom or go to eat lunch we just go do it and start working again. I get to see my mom and dad every day. I think it was a real privilege to be schooling online this year, because lockdown was not as big an adjustment for me as it was for other children in "regular" school. So you can tell I am truly excited. At the beginning I kinda found it a little difficult, and by difficult I mean, I had no idea which button to start with. I called my brother every five minutes, but as it's coming near to the end of the year I wouldn't change anything. The games are truly amazing. I DEFINITELY CAN'T WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR.

It's nice being able to see your marks and how far you have gotten in your work. I am glad that my parents moved me over.

I have struggled with anxiety for a long time, especially when it comes to school work and my future. I found that Switched On is the first curriculum that I feel I am moving forward (even though it's at a slower pace than I should be), and not been overwhelmed with anxiety.

I loved it, the work is much easier to understand, because I have my own time to read through the work until I get it. When I get stuck, I just send a message or a skype and then boom... thanks to my tutors I'm not stuck anymore. The electives to choose from is a lot better than the ones in normal schools, it will help me much more when I graduate. Some of the work is a lot, especially the projects, but it is worth it. The year was amazing. And this is the first time ever that I have enjoyed school so much.

This has been a very interesting roller coaster year for me with switched on because everyday would be different and I would be learning new things all the time. One thing for sure that I like about it is that I can monitor myself with the courses tab. I can see if I am behind and have a little bit of catching up to do or if I am on track and can relax through my work for that day.

SwitchedOn has definitely been a roller coaster for me this year. I discovered that I was still doing grade 9 work even though I am 19. At first it was a lot for me to take in, but I realized that I am able to work at my own pace so I can decide whether or not if I want to finish sooner or later. I love how the teachers are always there for you when you need help, and how they are always so understanding. It's a great school and I'm really glad to be part of it.
